About Our Company
Robert Anthony is the owner of Computer Services of East Hampton, Peconic SEO and East Hampton Design. His strategy is to combine the three companies into one full service company with the emphasis on ‘Service‘. That company is East Hampton Web Services, LLC.
Since its inception in 1998 the company has designed over two dozen web sites and performed SEO on most of them and boasts 114 clients overall. His track record of success and clear monthly reporting has gained praise from his clients.
As a community supporter, Rob spent seven years as President of the East End Special Players, another 4 years and currently as Chairman of the East Hampton Arts and Culture Council with a web site at www.ehacc.org.
Editorial Team. Catherine Gurley is a former newspaper reporter and staff writer. She was an editor at three computer industry magazines and led an editorial team in creating a Web Business Magazine, handling all phases of editorial content writing and editing, including concept development and editorial packaging.
Catherine (katy) was an instructor for ‘Editing for the Web’ at the University of California at Berkley, News editor for InfoWorld as well as its Operations Editor. Locally she is a free-lance writer for VOX Magazine, Dan’s paper and The Southampton Press. Katy recently completed the yearly magazine for Bank Street College in New York City and as a newspaper journalist she has had long tenures with The St. Louis Globe and Comdex Show Daily.
Marketing Team. Peter Weiss provides research for the Peconic Search Engine Optimization Team. This includes using analytics to identify user trends, key word research and traffic analysis.
As a member of Peconic SEO, he contributes metadata creation, site mapping, submissions and link building campaigns. Having run two companies in the past including Website Beautiful LLC, Peter’s background includes web design, marketing and Organic SEO. He brings a successful track record to the team with an emphasis on strategy mapping, target marketing and content analysis. He has been instrumental in helping companies maximize their web presence, reach their targeted audience and realize their Internet goals.
Editorial Team. Lynne Waller Scanlon has written three nonfiction books with total sales exceeding 600,000 copies. She has been on radio and TV throughout the United States while on national tour promoting her books. She has been interviewed in Newsweek and profiled on CNN. She was a group publisher of development product at A/S/M Communications (publishers of AdWeek Magazine) and the Director of Marketing, Special Sales at Barnes & Noble Books.
Lynne is also the CEO and publisher of NYC-based Back2Press Books, an imprint dedicated to re-publishing long-neglected titles that initially showed great promise, but that were allowed to fade into obscurity. Back2Press Books’ first release is the international bestseller, The Cure For Jet Lag, formerly called Overcoming jet Lag, a five-star, formerly out-of-print book that sold over 200,000 copies when first published, but that has a potential market of 20 million air travelers around the world.
